Bitwip considers data privacy to be one of the fundamental elements of interprofessional relationships. Our privacy policy and practices focus on processing, sharing, and maintaining personal data that is appropriate and in accordance with applicable law, while ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
This privacy policy applies to the company Bitwip. Bitwip processes and stores personal data within the European Union (EU) and is at any time in a position to prove that it complies with EU law and the principles set out herein. Bitwip participates in and complies with all the Specifications and Policies of the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework. It uses the Consent Management Platform No. 92. This privacy policy defines the entire online privacy policy applicable to the activities of bitwip.fr. This policy sets out the type of information we collect about our online customers and how we use that information. Our website complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), which is a directly binding law. The GDPR establishes new rights for individuals and reinforces some of the pre-existing rights under Directive 95/46/EC. Directive 95/46/EC will be repealed with effect on 25 May 2018. This privacy policy respects the provisions of the RGPD and thus those of Directive 95/46/EC and their application until they expire on May 25, 2018.
This privacy policy is under the responsibility of the Bitwip Data Protection Officer, who also has overall responsibility for ensuring compliance. The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is in charge of implementing our privacy policy, which is intrinsically linked to our privacy policy. The DPO ensures compliance on a daily basis and deals with all personal data protection issues. It is worth considering Bitwip as the data manager, the company determines the purposes and means of the delivery and collection of data online.
Principles

Personal data
Personal data refers to any information that can be linked to an identified or identifiable natural person (the “data subject”). Email marketing
Bitwip is allowed, if it has received consent, to send marketing emails to its customers. This form of specific consent must be sent on a voluntary basis, be unequivocal and have been the subject of specific information. These requirements are considered met when customers wanted to receive marketing emails (they actively agreed to them).
Customers will always have the right to object, free of charge and on simple request, to the processing of their personal data for customer purposes in the context of direct marketing activities, without having to justify themselves. To do this, simply click on the “unsubscribe” link in the emails received from Bitwip. Once a customer has objected, their personal data will no longer be used for direct marketing purposes.
Marketing emails contain information that we think may be of potential interest to our customers, such as the latest information about our products and services.
Responsibility
Bitwip is responsible and will be able to demonstrate compliance with the GDPR and the principles set forth herein at all times. Bitwip will keep records of the processing activities taking place under its responsibility and these records must include the information required by the GDPR.
Insofar as this provision is applied, Bitwip must make the statements available to the supervisory authority upon request of the latter. Complaint
Customers are in a position to file a complaint relating to our processing of their personal data. All requests and complaints will be handled within an appropriate time frame and in accordance with internal procedures.
In the unlikely event that customers have suffered harm as a result of an infringement of their rights under the data protection policy and Bitwip has not been able to handle the complaint appropriately, customers may file a complaint with the authority.
Modification of this charter
This charter may be updated from time to time, in particular due to changes in legislation relating to it in force or a change in the structure of the Bitwip group. If necessary, customers will be notified by email or on the website before the changes are effective.
